Beauty On Tuesdays: Smudge-Proof Make Up with Make Up Store

Filed In Fashion by connie de alwis | Comments: 6 | Views: 792

With Malaysia's scorching hot weather, having on full makeup and keeping your fingers crossed that it won't melt, is a daily challenge. With the help of a few items from the Make Up Store, this week I'll be showing you a simple Summer look that embraces the true meaning of smudge-proof makeup.

The star of today's makeup is a little bottle of magic called Mixing Liquid. Mixed with powder or cream products, the Mixing Liquid will give your makeup a more lasting effect.

To use with your foundation, dip a synthetic brush into the Mixing Liquid and mix it with your foundation on either your palm or a dish. Apply the newly combined foundation as usual on your skin. Make sure to set your foundation with some translucent loose powder.

Give your cheeks a long-wearing summer glow with the High Tech Lighter in Asteroid, which is a bronze shade. The consistency is sticky so that it will stay on the cheeks for hours but it's also easy to blend.

Moving on to the eyes, the first product that we're going to to use is the Twinkle Eyeshadow in Arrow, which is glitter and fixation in one product. Apply the gel on the lid up to the gel and when it dries, you will get shimmery eyes that will not fade or crease.

To add a pop of colour for this look, we'll be going back to the Mixing Liquid but now paired with the Eye Dust in Moist. Take a synthetic eyeliner brush, dip it into the Mixing Liquid and combine with the Eye Dust until you get a paste. Then, line the upper lash line thickly and create a winged effect at the outer corner.

Using the Mixing Liquid to activate the Cake Eyeliner in Grey, draw a thin line nearer to the base of the lashes following the shape of the teal line before.

Complete the rest of your makeup by coating on some mascara, filling in your eyebrows, applying blush and finally, a lip colour.

Tip: Lip stains are usually very long lasting, resisting water and sweat. Try using it as a base to any lip colour that you're wearing so by the time your lipstick wears off, there'll at least still be some color left on your lips.

I hope that these tips will help you look fabulous despite the heat!

To find out more and experiment with smudge-proof make up in person, RSVP for Chic POP next Thursday June 11th - where Make Up Store will be having a station for you to learn beauty tips, and DIY make up!

Make Up Store outlets are located at The Gardens Mid Valley and Pavillion Kuala Lumpur.

Pardon me, but this makeup brand doesnt work for me. Last time I tried their free makeover, my face was OILY even after 15mins putting up the look. Plus, it's way too expensive for products that dont deliver well. I pass.

However, I like the Max Lashes mascara. A good one though. ^_^
