Leather biker jackets became a tough style breaker of sweet schoolgirl styles and feminine trousers were coupled with print T-shirts.
To coincide with EDC by Esprit officially sponsoring the recent MTV Asia Music Awards, Esprit hosted a fashion party for 200 guests from all around Asia at Pulse, Grand Millenium Hotel. The party was a sneak-peek of the latest trends for the upcoming Autumn/Winter collection.
Clothing aside, a whole plethora of accessories were on show - caps, scarves, belts and trendy bags all adding to the mix. Bags were especially prominent with handcrafted looks being key.
For the more subdued look, there are tonal millefleur, paisley and pinstripe patterns with light washes, jackets in compact cotton-nylon fabrics with new surface finishes and rough knitwear to make a look that’s feminine and natural.
The season seems to be ushered in by androgynous borrow-the-boyfriend’s-threads styles, combined with glamourous vintage looks. Perhaps it’s also a great party season for some role-reversal fun.
