Badger / Anti-Beauty / Voltra Launch In Malaysia
New in town, and I mean Uptown, indie streetwear labels Badger, Anti-Beauty and Voltra have arrived in Malaysia from Bandung, Indonesia. Finally, after we mentioned them back in December, TiC attends the launch to see what styles they're bringing in to the indie youth of KL.
Badger is for the guys where they have graphic tees, jackets, hoodies and accessories.
Anti-Beauty is for girls who want fun in fashion, while Voltra is the darker and edgier side of Badger inspired by tattoos, skates and graffiti.
Starting out as an online blog shop business in August 2008, it has just expanded to a mini showroom at Damansara Utama.
The media launch, which took place at Tea House just across the store, packed an eventful night with huge buffet spread of Thai food, fashion show and music performances.
Ever since its existence in 1999, Badger has always been in full support of the Indonesian indie music scene and the brand looks to do the same here in Malaysia. Getting on upcoming and underground music artistes and bands as ambassadors, music performances for that night consisted of Dischord, They Will Kill Us All, Ninja and Yuna.
