Wardrobe Invasion (i)
We’ll be adding an exciting new column where I’ll be doing some wardrobe invasion - hopping from house to house and ransacking other people’s wardrobe space. I’ll be put to the test by styling TiC readers in 5 different looks by using only 5 pieces of clothing from their wardrobe, simply just to prove that you need not own a millionaire’s wardrobe to achieve different looks. A little tricky I admit, but I’m super psyched!
My very first lab rat, Singz, is a psychology student who unfortunately (for me) is a good friend of mine.

Here's what we picked up from her wardrobe (clockwise from upper left):
1. Black Jumpsuit/ Drop Crotch pants: Pull & Bear
2. Baby blue blazer: Vintage
3. Tartan skirt: General Pants, Australia
4. Blue polka dot grandmama dress: Grandma's
5. White Tee: AA
Looks we played around with:
Look 1: Played with some belting on the dress and popped on the blazer for that on-the-go, no fuss, casual day outfit.
Look 2: Turned the dress into a top and belted the jumpsuit into a high waisted drop crotch pants.
Look 3: Kept the jumpsuit as it is and turned a simple tartan circle skirt into a mini cape.
Look 4: Turning things a little more preppy with the tartan skirt, blazer and opaque leggings.
Look 5: Played around with belting once again and folded the dress into a circle skirt.
Any favourites out of the lot?
