Sloggi Art for Humanity 2008

Sloggi threw a charity beach party at Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach last weekend to celebrate a mixture of Art, Fashion and Music to support the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS). Upon entering the Surf Beach, I could feel the lively buzz of the atmosphere. There were so many activity booths spread out, I didn’t know where to start. Naturally, I went to see what the Sloggi booth had to offer.

Funky Sloggi slippers for RM10 to don on the beach.

Sloggi’s latest range that spells ‘tropical fun’.

Sloggi bras on a Buy 1 Free 1 promotion for only RM40!

They also had booths where people could try and win goodie bags which included a pair of Sloggi slippers, a Sloggi tank top, Kotex pantyliners and pads, an issue of Malaysian Today, as well as samples from Skin Food and Banana Boat.

Roll the dice to see if you win a Sloggi goodie bag, get another chance or get wet with waterguns.

Jules and Phat Fabes from Fly FM were the hosts of the event.

In between performances, I scouted around to see how people had decided to dress for this beach event. Here are some variations of what our locals paired their shorts with:

Entertainment was provided by the KL Stompers, Qings & Kueens, Suki, Dayang Nurfaizah and Estranged. However, I could tell that the crowd was mostly looking forward to seeing the models strut their stuff donning Sloggi underwear paired with the Top 10 Inter-College Body Painting Competition designs.

Unfortunately, the skies turned dark and it started to rain before the models made their appearance. Just as I thought there would be no show, they improvised with umbrellas as their props which added to the whole performance with the outcome being fantastically colourful.

The Top 10 Finalists:

Protect The Animal by Tang Hui Bin
