Fash Bash

If the Zouk Flea ‘n Easy is Singapore’s flea market for the uber cool, then Fash Bash has to be every fashionista’s dream. I’ve visited almost every Fash Bash since its start, and have never walked out disappointed.

Everyone who visits has a jolly good time digging and shopping, not to mention heightened exposure to goods you usually see online or in indie boutiques. This time round, Fash Bash is held in the brightly lit Singapore Art Museum. The great thing about this Fash Bash was that it was held on a public holiday, so everyone was relaxed and ready to spend. The turnout was great – we had to jostle around to get to the best bits (which, for me, were the Baylene jackets!).

A good mix of fashion is the key to Fash Bash’s success. Cult labels such as Swirl, hansel, and Baylene consistently showcase their pieces at slashed, affordable prices. Vintage stores like Dustbunny Vintage and Granny Day’s Out add the quirky factor, while cute designs from Little Odd Forest and HOARD jewelry add the individualistic edge.

As you can see, it’s basically racks and racks of samples and vintage dresses. Most apparel were priced below SGD100. The key is to arrive early, and be ready to dig deep and fast!

The Little Odd Forest purses are utterly adorable, and most importantly, extremely unique. Virtually everything was discounted, and there’s generally no reason for you not to shop.

Assorted jewelry are also in abundance, so there’s definitely something to suit your taste.

Shoes were amazing – Bianca had their latest collection available at their stall. There were also items for men, so it isn’t as though Fash Bash is entirely held for women. Boyfriends get to browse a bit, too! If you are looking forward to the next Fash Bash, look no further than their site. You’ll be able to enter their mailing list, and get updates on when the next Fash Bash is held. Interested parties for the stalls will be able to get in touch with the organizers, as well.
