Remember how we featured Delectable as an upcoming brand of designer cakes to look out for earlier this year? Well, lo and behold, it took less than a year for Delectable to pop out of the browsers and into a store outlet, which is quite a feat, considering the current economic situation! Delectable held its store launch last Friday.
Just in case you’re a little lost, Delectable started off as an online bakery that sees its cakes as more than just dessert. Founder Su wanted to make sure that each order completely reflected the individuality of its receivers, and every aspect of their special day. It was never just about mixing batter; it was always about the little details wrapped into pillowy layers of decadence.
Past clients include Harper’s Bazaar, Celine, Kenzo, Jaspal and Thomas Pink; with her website having over a million hits and still counting!
At Delectable, customers can now go over to personally consult Su about their prospective cake concepts, which adds more intimacy and personalization to the end results. There are also an assortment of ready-to-eat cookies, cupcakes (RM28 for 3) and other baked goods prepared freshly everyday.
