Singapore’s been buzzing with excitement as the country gets all glam and ready for the Audi Fashion Festival next month! Held at the Tent@Orchard outside Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, the 5-day fashion fest will take place from 6th to 10th May. I was invited to the press conference to check out what’s in store this year and the line-up is absolutely screamworthy!
The press conference had the works! After some wine and cocktails at the holding room, we were ushered into the events area where the organisers made their appearance. Tjinn Lee, the festival director, gave a speech to the press and a fashion show was held.
When I least expected it, an Audi R8 stunned audiences as it drove out onto the catwalk with local supermodel Charmaine Han in the passenger seat!

I am especially excited with the festival line-up! Imagine iconic top designers like Christian Lacroix and Vivienne Westwood under one roof!
Opening show:
Christian Lacroix, the legendary French designer, will open the festival with a haute couture show during a black tie gala event.
Bold use of patterns and colours are sure to be present when the latest range is showcased.
As for the closing show, Vivienne Westwood will wrap things up with her show-stopping Anglomania collection on the final day.
I remember being absolutely in love with the Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Wedding gown which made an appearance in the 2008 Sex and the City movie. It was sent to Carrie Bradshow (along with a handwritten note) for ‘Carrie’s Wedding’!
(Since then, the Gold Label gown was apparently made available for sale on net-a-porter.com and was sold within a day for a whopping £4,168.35! )
The Tent@Orchard – which can hold 600 fashionistas, socialites and fashion-lovers – will also be transformed each day.
The venue will morph from a couture gala setting one day, to an edgy after-hours club on another. TiC will be providing you the updates!
