Accessories Designer: Genea (PH)

Countless designer labels, magazines and the like have relied on Filipino talent for inspiration when it comes to accessories. Even international brands like Donna Karan and Armani have tapped into Pinoy designers to source for high-quality accessories to help complete their seasonal look books. Genea is a great example, exporting earrings, necklaces, bangles, anklets and belts made from all-natural materials.

A new company, Genea Arts and crafts Corp, an offshoot of Philos International, inc, have a solid background in design and production of jewelry made from wood, coco and shell. The budding Cebu-based accessories label has also been featured in Brigitte Magazine, Germany and more.

This coral necklace design is the very first piece I purchased from them for only P550, at the St. James Bazaar (the biggest bazaar in the South of Manila that’s held every Christmas). I wore it to the PMAP Exhibit, with a Ferdie Abuel dress, which I’ve blogged about and was honoured to have been voted in Style Bible as Most Stylish Mom! Haha!
